This role is temporary to support the IDVA, supporting women survivors to escape from domestic abuse. The successful candidate will also be required to develop our existing mental health products for use by the team over the phone and via zoom/Microsoft office.
The successful applicant will engage with and provide intensive support to women; offering one-to-one support and group work, guidance, information and signposting, and therefore contributing to an improvement in the well-being of the woman and a reduction in domestic abuse. Together Women aims to raise aspirations, build confidence and self-esteem, as well as providing access to education, training and employment, housing etc.
After a funding review in March 2021 this post may become permanent. At this point the role will be to manage a caseload of women, delivering all aspects of this work and groups sessions.
The successful applicant will be expected to be proactive in building a network of partners who can offer specialist support to the women that they are working with, develop their knowledge of relevant service provision that can be helpful to the women and be proactive in driving the service forward.
Together Women’s core working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. However, there is an expectation of flexibility; on occasions there may be possible evening and weekend work and early start times, for which time off in lieu is provided.
