Rubbish Friends are a fantastic community led group that are helping towards making the areas we live and work in a much tidier and cleaner place by organising litter picking events and supporting individuals on litter picking activities across Hull.
They have recently share their latest pick reports and future activities with us and we would like to ask if there is anyone who would like to get involved in this fantastic group!
Pick Reports
Regular solo litter picking continues, especially for new members in areas where we hope new groups will form.
Tuesday mornings Thank you to Pam for organising these regular picks, and to Geri, Peter and Yvonne who support her. 10am on a Tuesday is Pam’s regular time for a litter pick and she roams around the Beverley High Road area. It’s always a lovely, friendly atmosphere so do get in touch if you’d like to join in on a Tuesday morning.
Saturday 14 August Sculcoates Lane Thank you to Claire for leading this event, a joint litter pick with Hull Friends of the Earth and Sculcoates Open Spaces. It was extremely well-attended and a huge success!
Saturday 7 August Cottingham Rd Well done to Roanna for leading her first litter pick. We picked Cottingham Rd, Beverley Rd, Haworth St and Blaydes St all around the junction.
Tuesday 3 August Princes Avenue An evening pick led by Emily. This area definitely needed some litter-picking! Thank you to all who supported.
