Play Days

Marfleet Centre: Tues 2nd, 9th & 16th August

Hull Parks: Weds 3rd, 10th & 17th August

The Feast Collective are seeking support to cater the upcoming park Play Days in August. Whether you’re up for prepping veg, serving food, setting up gazebos, or washing the pots – you are needed! The Collective will repay you in both gratitude and time credits. Volunteers are also needed the days before to help prepare food in the Marfleet Centre. 3rd August is at Queen’s Gardens, 10th at Alderman Kneeshaw, and 17th at Pickering Park. Haircuts for time credits

Uncover your family history

Monday 15th August, 1-3pm

Do you ever wonder who your ancestors were, and where they came from? Join Timebank staff member and amateur genealogist, Pauline, for support heritage hunting! This is a free event at the Marfleet Community Centre. All are welcome – no need to book, just turn up.

Repair Cafe & Jumble Sale

Saturday 20th August, 12 noon

Has your faveourite jacket been missing a button since the year 2000? Laptop behaving badly? Sewing machine seen better days? Bring them along to the repair cafe! TimeBank members will be on hand to help and demo how to fix stuff. If you’ve got a skill to share, let Adele@timebankhullandeastriding.co.uk know – we’d love to have you. We’re also taking this opportunity to clear the community centre in advance of an autumn refurb, or to put it simply…we are having a jumble sale!

Summer Social

Thursday 25th August, 5-8pm

Join us in the blooming Marfleet garden for a summer social and a delicious community meal hosted by our Food Cycle friends. This is a chance to get together and enjoy the summer sun in good company, catching up with friends old and new. TimeBank’s 10th Birthday

Saturday 10th September, 2pm onwards

This year we’re celebrating our 10th birthday! Join us at the Marfleet garden on Saturday 10th September for an afternoon of music, dancing, and potluck dining. Keep in the loop via announcements and the Facebook event.

Regular activities at the Marfleet Centre

Weekly Gardening Group, every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon

Fancy spending a couple of hours in the beautiful Marfleet garden each week? Come along Tuesdays and/or Thursdays 1-3pm to chat with fellow members and help out. Volunteers can take home some produce and earn time credits in exchange. Contact fran@timebankhullandeastriding.co.uk if you’d like to come along.

Weekly Martial Arts, every Tuesday evening

Join Carrie and Kev for combined martial arts sessions in the Marfleet Centre. Sessions for 4-12 year olds run 18:00 – 19:00 or 12 years+ 19:15 – 20:45. Classes are £3.50 with family discounts available. Contact Carrie (07975644391) or Kev (07882499844) to book.

Weekly Community Dinners, every Thursday 18:30

We love hosting Food Cycle at the Marfleet Centre (HU9 4PX), who coordinate FREE weekly community meals every Thursday evening. All welcome – just turn up. They’re also seeking volunteers – can you help? Find out more and apply to join the team here.

Weekly Craft Club, every Friday, 10:00 – 12:00

Drop into the Marfleet Centre (HU9 4PX) every Friday to join a craft club. Bring your own project to work on whilst having a chat with other crafters. £1 donation per session.

Weekly Bingo, every Friday evening, 18:30 onwards

Come along to Bingo every Friday night for around 2 hours. Doors open 18:30 with eyes down 19:00. £8 a booklet – no need to book, just turn up.
