Over recent weeks Police have seen an increase in the number of opportunist burglaries, particularly in East Hull.
Authorities have been called to incidents were criminals have gained access to insecure properties, by which doors, windows and on occasion, vehicles have been left unlocked by residents.
In a bid to deter these “sneak in” burglars they are recommending some essential crime prevention advice to ensure you are able to keep yourself, your home and your property safe.
– Please ensure your doors and windows are kept closed and locked even when you are at home.
– Make sure outbuildings such as garages and sheds are kept secured and anything inside of value is secured by a strong quality lock.
