Funding for community organisations to deal with issues in the community as a result of the coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis.
Current Status: Open for Applications
Maximum value: £ 10,000
The Coronavirus Community Fund phase two funding stream has been established to provide a follow on from the immediate response grants which were offered initially to support community groups with a small amount of emergency funding to respond to their immediate needs and those of the communities they work with.
In the first phase small grants of up to £2,000 were provided with the focus on those groups seeking to adapt the way they work in order that they could continue to support their beneficiaries or cope with an increase in demand. Many grants were also awarded to groups providing an urgent response to the threat of coronavirus/COVID-19 supporting communities with food and medicine deliveries, mental health support and befriending.
Phase 2 provided larger grants to allow groups to cope with an increased demand for their services, and to support those struggling to meet their running costs having suffered a loss of income.
In phase three, the Fund provides grants to help groups meet the emerging needs of their local communities as they recover from the immediate crisis and start to deal with the ‘new normal’, and the impact of the resulting public health, social and economic crisis.
Grants of up to £10,000 are available.
