Barnardo’s DSI service has been providing support to children & young people with a disability across the region for a number of years. The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission.
They are looking to appoint a bank of Behaviour Support Workers to provide support to young people with a disability or learning difficulty aged 0-25 years and their families across the East Riding. Workers will be highly motivated and have a passion for engaging, supporting and empowering young people and their families. They should have the skills, confidence and passion to work with an individual child on a one-to-one basis, two to one basis or in a small group, many of the young people display challenging behaviour.
The rate of pay is £9.50 per hour (plus rolled up annual leave) In addition to this mileage is currently paid at 40p per mile & 45p per mile when transporting a young person or colleague.
Working hours are predominantly evenings, weekends and during the day in school holidays, therefore a flexible approach to working is essential.
They have sessions available ranging from 6 hours per week up to 30 hours per week.
