Umbrella Housing Officer

Location: Preston Road Women’s Centre

Job Purpose

To manage a group of supported housing tenants on behalf of the Umbrella Housing service including supporting vulnerable tenants escaping Domestic Abuse to maintain tenancies and live independently.

The Umbrella Service Housing Officer will work with local agencies and services within Preston Road Women’s Centre to match women with available properties, provide support to those women to maintain tenancies and ensure the properties are maintained to a high standard.

She will also work with the team to source new properties on behalf of local private landlords and as part of the Umbrella Service Empty Homes development

NJC Salary scale: Scale point 2, Salary £18,065 pro rata

Location:  Preston Road Women’s Centre

Job Purpose

To provide focussed tenancy support to women with complex needs living with and escaping violence and abuse. To specifically support women accessing crisis accommodation with Umbrella Housing Service to identify appropriate and safe move on housing options and to explore and support with developing skills needed to maintain tenancies and live independently
