Citizens Advice Hull and East Riding (CAH&ER) is recruiting for the Social Prescribing service in Hull, which they provide in partnership with Forum. Funded by Hull Clinical Commissioning Group and Hull City Council, the service provides residents with a holistic welfare advice and wellbeing service, working with a wide range of referring partners and community based organisations. You will join a team of operational staff to ensure the smooth delivery of the service.
37 hours per week
Salary £31,676 (initially fixed term until 30 June 2022)
The role: You will be responsible for the day to day delivery of the Connect Well Hull social prescribing service. CAH&ER is the lead contract holder for the service and in your role you will ensure that the service meets the contract requirements and continues to develop to meet local needs. With the team of Welfare Advisers and Customer Service Co-ordinators you will ensure high standards of client care and quality of advice, managing resources to ensure the service is accessible and responsive to the needs of the local communities.
You will work in partnership with Forum’s delivery manager to ensure the support, co-ordination and development of the service provided by the Well-being Co-ordinators.
As a member of CAH&ER’s operational management team you will be responsible for the achievement of contract targets and contribute to the wider development of our objectives and research and campaigns.
Money Advice Debt Caseworker / Trainee Debt Caseworker

£25,748 pa – Actual: £15,448 (Traineeship £22,415 pa, Actual: £13,499 rising to £25,748 pa (Actual: £15,449) upon completion of training and reaching agreed competencies
During the current Coronavirus restrictions we are operating a limited face to face service. The post holder will be required to provide advice face to face with appropriate protective measures and also from home via telephone, email, webchat and video. We will provide the support and equipment to enable this.
Citizens Advice Hull and East Riding (CAH&ER) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced money advice caseworker to join our successful team.
We offer money and debt advice face-to-face, and by telephone, web chat and email. Successful applicants will have a minimum of one year’s full-time equivalent experience of delivering money advice and an ability to satisfy MAPS standards of competence at casework level.
Applicants will need to have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision and be flexible in their approach. You will need experience of income maximisation, budgeting and money advice strategies.
