Hull CVS are working in collaboration with Forum to form a partnership team to deliver a package of services to community groups, charities and social businesses that will aid their start up, effectiveness and longer term sustainability.
As part of this capacity building service we are looking for two new permanent members of staff to help deliver the service.
The roles available are:
- Organisational Development Officer – 35 hours per week – £22,000 (per annum)
You will help identify the requirements of community groups, charities and social businesses, and will facilitate and directly provide a range of tailored support to these organisations. You will have strong interpersonal and communications skills and be able to think creatively. You should have a flexible approach within the team and you will be required to manage a diverse workload. Having a background in the charity/not for profit sector is helpful but not essential, as long as you are prepared to undertake training and learning to develop in the role.

You will play a key role in organising and facilitating training and events, as well as providing excellent customer services to those accessing our services. You will have exceptional organisation skills and be well versed in juggling a number of demands and different people’s diaries. The ideal candidate will also have strong interpersonal and communications skills, be able to think creatively, and have a flexible approach within the team.

In addition we are also recruiting someone to provide maternity cover as part of our wider team. The details are:
- Sector Grants and Support Officer (Maternity Cover) – 21 hours per week – £18,000 – £20,000 (pro rata)
You will meet staff and volunteers within communities and support voluntary and community sector groups in accessing funding, as well as managing Hull CVS grant funds. You will also conduct healthchecks with groups helping them to flourish and grow, and will promote the use of Hull CVS services. You will have strong interpersonal, and communications skills and be able to think creatively.
