Job Title:
PA to SocialEYES Co-ordinator.
Hours of Work: 13 hours per week, to be worked flexibly
(including occasional evening and weekend work).
Reporting to: SocialEYES Coordinator
Job Role & Purpose:
The “SocialEYES” program provides visually impaired adults of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to access a wide range of recreational activities. These range from physical activities such as walking, bowling and ball sports, to singing, arts and crafts and day-trips.
Our SocialEYES Co-ordinator is registered blind and we are looking to recruit a confident and outgoing individual to work with him to provide work-related support in key areas where he would benefit from sighted assistance.
These include:
- Administrational support for tasks where adapted technologies struggle to assist.
- Providing relevant visual feedback on event and activity co-ordination, such as risk assessments, actions of participants and venue layout.
- Driving between work-place venues.
- Helping to set up and pack away at presentations and activities.
- Taking relevant pictures and video footage to promote the SocialEYES program.
Hourly Rate of Pay: £9.31 per hour
Please note: Due to the nature of this position, working hours and holidays will be aligned with those of the SocialEYES Coordinator.
