This-Ability is a £3.79m Big Lottery Funded project covering the Hull and East Riding area. The project started on 2nd January 2019 and is currently funded until December 2023.
This-Ability supports people aged between 18 – 29 years, with learning and physical disabilities/difficulties and long-term health conditions, who are unemployed or economically inactive with the aim of moving them into work.
Over the 5 years we will support up to 500 participants moving at least 200 (40%) into employment, through the assistance of a supported employment programme (MOBY)
Participants will receive high quality advice, support, and training delivered by This-Ability and its partners. We expect at least 80% participants to achieve an Employability Passport.
This-Ability is built upon principles of co-production – involving participants in the design and delivery of the services they receive.
This role sits within a team that equips target groups of young people with employability skills and matches them to local employers. It involves the delivery of quality guidance and support on a one-to-one basis, group sessions delivering the elements of the Employability Passport and supporting participants to achieve the overall project outcomes.
The co-ordinator role will assist participants once in employment, to ensure sustainability and a smooth transition into the world of work.
