Healthwatch helps everyone in the community – adults, young people and children to get the best out of their local Health and Social Care services.
Every voice counts when it comes to shaping the future of services and improving them for today, that’s why they are always listening to local communities, understanding what they need from local services and feeding back the findings to those who have the power to make the changes needed to ensure better Health and Social Care services for all.
To achieve these aims and strengthen the service they provide, Healthwatch are currently recruiting for two members of staff for the roles specified below.
Starting Salary: £20,000 pa
35 Hours (Full Time)
Healthwatch are seeking a highly motivated individual to co-ordinate and deliver a community engagement plan that involves promoting Healthwatch Kingston Upon Hull and organising and attending community outreach activity at events throughout the area.
You will work with Healthwatch volunteers and the wider team to go out and about listening to views and experiences, and gather vital intelligence about local services. You will also use your skills to raise and maintain the profile of Healthwatch across key stakeholders and the local community, ensuring key messages and information are effectively communicated.
Starting Salary: £20,000 pa pro rata
Upto 35 Hours (Full Time) – negotiable
The work of Healthwatch is supported by a network of volunteers who carry out a variety of roles within the service, from visiting local health and care services to conducting surveys and attending meetings and community events. Healthwatch are now seeking an organised and outgoing individual to support and coordinate the work of our local volunteers.
The successful candidate will oversee the recruitment, supervision and management of Healthwatch volunteers and ensure they are able to contribute fully to the service. The post holder will also ensure that volunteering policies and procedures are implemented and kept up to date, and will support the coordination of Enter and View activity, which is one of the statutory powers of Healthwatch.
