Fixed Term until 14 April 2024 due to funding.
Hull City Council are looking for a focussed and driven individual to join the team behind the ground-breaking HEY! Volunteer Programme.
Our iconic blue-coated volunteer programme began back in 2016 to support Hull’s incredible year as UK City of Culture. Now called HEY! Volunteering, our story continues as we strive to improve lives and experiences through volunteering in Hull and East Yorkshire. Supporting the region’s communities, cultural events and tourism venues, our volunteers symbolise the energy and passion that makes a real difference to the region and has evidence based impact on the wellbeing of the volunteers.
HEY! Volunteering is at an exciting point in its lifespan as it looks to broaden opportunities and expand further across the region. You will be in a role that supports all administrative aspects of the volunteering programme at this important time, ensuring its effective delivery and contributing to its core functions.
Successful candidates will have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
This role will often be the first point of contact for HEY! Volunteering, therefore it’s vital that you are able to confidently communicate across a wide range of audiences, championing the programme and embodying its ethos.
HEY! Volunteering has been held up internationally as an example of best practice, and this role will help us to maintain the high quality that’s expected from the programme.
Key responsibilities include maintaining databases, producing reports and registers, ordering and distributing volunteer uniform and accreditation and using our volunteer management software to upload opportunities.
If you’re excited by the opportunity to be part of our dynamic team and the region-wide volunteer family you can find out more details and apply online here VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT – FIXED TERM (hullcc.gov.uk)
