Connecting with the outdoors by taking a mindful and creative approach to photography – Adult workshop
An exploration of how we can connect with the outdoors by taking a more mindful and creative approach to choosing and capturing photographic subjects. The workshop will cover some basic technical aspects of photography and there will be the opportunity to submit images to a friendly competition.
This workshop will include both learning and practice, and a tour of ‘The Plot’ – our 1 acre community site, comprising mature woodland, tree nursery, wildflower meadow, nature pond, food growing area, mini orchard and polytunnel.
Light refreshments will be offered. Please bring your own camera (SLR, compact or phone-camera) for use at this workshop.
Our site is a working allotment & woodland area, which includes some narrow paths and uneven ground. Down to Earth Hull are keen to welcome people of all abilities to the site but are conscious that parts of the site are not accessible to all, so anyone with mobility issues or related health conditions is advised to contact us in advance for a friendly chat about how we can best accommodate your needs.
In order to ensure participants’ safety Down to Earth Hull are adhering to the latest government coronavirus guidelines; this includes restricting numbers of attendees at all sessions and ensuring physical distancing during activities, along with appropriate handwashing.
Due to these current restrictions on numbers, we would be grateful if people could limit themselves to booking onto no more than 2 of our workshops from the current programme, until such time as government guidance on gatherings alters.
