Rubbish Friends are a Hull based community group that want to encourage and support individuals who are keen to improve the environment around them whilst making new friends and enjoying the benefits of being outdoors.
Please see below for their upcoming picks – could you spare some time to join in?
9:00 Sunday 14 November Beresford Avenue / Beverley High Road – This is an opportunity to get gardening! We’ll be tidying, pruning, weeding and planting to spruce up the little garden at the corner of Beresford Ave and Beverley High Road. Please bring your own tools and give Debbie a shout if you don’t have any. Exact time to be decided, we’ll check the weather forecast. With thanks to Beverley and Newland Ward for funding this project. Pick lead – Debbie
10:00 Saturday 27 November Clough Rd Playing Field – A joint event with Hull Friends of the Earth to tidy up the fields at St John’s just off Clough Road. As the vegetation dies back for the winter, a chance to clear litter from the boundary bushes. We’ll also be removing the last of the plastic tree guards from the young trees allowing them to flourish. Pickers, gloves and bags will be provided but please bring your own if you can. The field can get quite boggy in winter so please wear suitable footwear. Pick lead – Alan
