Health in our Community grants are available from £500 to £2000 to support projects in Hull and East Riding that aim to reduce health inequalities, Improve self-management of care and support volunteer opportunities that improve health and wellbeing within communities
The funding has been kindly provided by the local CCG for Hull and East Riding to support the unique ways that you can help improve the health in our communities.
Grant Aims:
Reducing health inequalities – Health inequalities are unfair and avoidable differences in health across the population, and between different groups within society. An example could be a non-English speaking person unable to access health information, due to it not being provided in their language or someone who is unable to access an activity due to location or other avoidable barriers.
Improving self-management of health – Helping people to be in control of their health and enabling them to support their own health needs.
Supporting volunteering opportunities – Providing volunteer opportunities with the appropriate guidance and training, that help to improve the health and wellbeing of volunteers and the people they support.
Grant amount – £500 to £2000
To be considered for a grant award you need to:
Be registered as an organisation and show your activity on Beecan
Describe your group or charity
Explain the challenge or need you are looking to address with the funding
Describe the activity/project that will be undertaken with this funding.
Provide details of the positive outcomes of the activity/project and how they will directly link to the grant aims?
Tell us how many people will be supported
Provide an accurate budget
Explain how the project will continue after any funding has been spent
