When you go through menopause, your levels of oestrogen and other hormones drop sharply. Because oestrogen helps maintain bone density, this drop can lead to significant bone loss and, over time, to low bone density.
We would like to invite you along to a webinar on bone health during the menopause, delivered by Professor Natalie Vanicek from the Department of Sport, Health and Exercise Science, Dr Ali Dostan from the Department of Engineering at the University of Hull and Maxine Osgerby from Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
The webinar will cover the effects of menopause on bone health, what is osteopenia and osteoporosis and what are the risk factors, the role of exercise for bone health and local services offered by the NHS.
To reserve your place, please email office@nnetwork.org.uk stating which webinar you would like to attend. The team will then send the Zoom link out to access the session the day before.
The workshop is being held via Zoom on Wednesday 24th November @ 7pm
