21st April 2023Family Fun Day at Alderman Kneeshaw Park
Join the fun and games on Saturday 29th April at Alderman Kneeshaw park from 11am until 3pm.
The event has been put together to celebrate the parks recent face lift paid from the levelling up fund. The event will aim to engage its community in the ongoing mission of the Friends of Kneeshaw by helping the local and extended community appreciate the beautiful asset on their doorstep. Our aim is to reconnect people with nature and in doing so build a strong sense of community.
Alongside the celebration we are taking part in the international City Nature Challenge. Experts from The Deep, Yorkshire Wildlife, Hull University, Bishop Burton College among others will be leading guided walks to look at and document what species, flora and fauna live on our park using the app ‘inaturalist’ an easy to use way of discovering and documenting.
Along side this the ‘Feast Collective’ will be providing a feast for all. Family entertainment and activities include; Scrapstore, Rewilding Youth, Den Building, Humber Drumming Circle and the Brilliant Hull Carnival Arts who aim to produce a fabulous parade to weave all the elements together working alongside our resident land artist Linda King.
