Do you want to learn how to tell your birch from your beech this winter, by using skills that give buds and bark new meaning?
Book to attend upcoming subsidised winter tree training to help you learn more about trees and connect with the nature around you!
The Field Studies Council are now taking bookings for their heavily subsidised tree training course, Identifying Broadleaf Trees in Winter, exclusive for residents living in Hull.
The course will be delivered by a tree expert in our local community and will focus on exploring the features of buds and twigs to identify common tree species, even when they are winter-bare. They will also be running a free 4-week online course, so there’s lots of opportunities for you to get involved!
These courses are offered heavily subsidised thanks to the Forgotten Places: Greening Coastal Towns and Cities project, led by Trees for Cities.
The in-person course will take place on the 21st of January 10am-4:30pm at The Animal Education Centre, East Park, Hull. Please book here by the 10th of January.
The online course will begin on the 11th of January – please book here by the 6th of January.
