Goodwin Development Trust and the Royal British Legion (RBL) have established a highly successful and enterprising partnership. The partnership aims to provide a range of Welfare, Health and Wellbeing support services to RBL Beneficiaries in the Hull area utilising a model of case workers allocated to individuals as they are referred, assessing needs and working with internal services, external agencies and the RBL to resolve those needs as quickly as possible.

Part Time: 22.2hours per week

Salary £18,727 FTE per annum (actual salary for 22.2 hours is £11,236.20)

Fixed term until 31st March 2019, possible extension subject to funding

They are seeking a professional, versatile and confident self-starter who can adapt to change with ease. The successful candidate will be required to deliver the portfolio of the Royal British Legion/Goodwin Development Trust services to improve the quality of life for qualifying beneficiaries citywide.

You will be required to ensure that beneficiaries receive appropriate support and advice in the form of a person-centred solution based on a thorough analysis of circumstances and need. Solutions may require direct support or signposting to relevant agencies covering a variety of areas including: homelessness and accommodation, drug/alcohol and substance misuse, rehabilitation of offenders including post prison requirements such as housing, employment, finances and lifestyle issues, training and employment, and business start-up.

You must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work on your own initiative, supporting beneficiaries on a case by case basis. The successful candidate will have a good standard of education and be a proficient IT user. You must have previous experience of working with disadvantaged/marginalised groups and older and vulnerable adults.

Due to working citywide, it is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle. A background in health & social care would be an advantage, but is not essential.
