Yesterday saw the NN team attend and show support for their NHW support counterparts in the East Riding at their annual NHW Event.
This event was aimed at NHW co-ordinators in the East Riding, along with those representing the Parish Councils and was held at Beverley Enterprise Centre.
Topics of the day for 2024 included a burglary update from Chief Inspector Rob Danby and Inspector Andy Beadman of Humberside Police Home | Humberside Police, environmental issues such as fly tipping and enforcement and how these are reported Fly-tipping and illegal waste disposal (eastriding.gov.uk), dog orders and legislation Dog control and ownership (eastriding.gov.uk and community payback, about the types of projects that are submitted across the county Nominate a Community Payback project – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
The NHW support team updated the room with their projects over the last year including the updating of the NHW code of ethics, production of new ASB materials with the support of their CSP and the partnership work with Community Vision (previously ERVAS) East Riding Voluntary Action Services – ERVAS on producing the inclusive communication on fraud.
