A 45-year-old man appeared at Hull Crown Court last week (Friday 3 September) and pleaded guilty to a burglary and attempted burglary.
Robert Brindley, of Hull, entered an address on Sorel Drive on 23 July and stole property from inside whilst the victim was asleep. He attempted to gain entry to another address on Sorel Drive, Hull.
He later admitted to six further burglaries in the Hull and East Riding area and was subsequently sentenced to 4 years in jail.
Detective Sergeant Andy Bradley said: “I am pleased with the sentence given out to Mr Brindley and I hope that the sentencing provides the victims with some degree of closure.
“It’s important to us that our communities feel safe and we are committed to investigating burglaries to take offenders off the streets.”
