Facebook Trend for Neighbourhood Network Groups

In recent times the Neighbourhood Network has seen an increase in the numbers of groups choosing the medium of Facebook to engage with residents and work together with community safety partners in making the areas they live and work safer.

The Kingswood Neighbourhood Network is an excellent example of such and has over 5000 page likes. It is viewed as the first point of call for many of the Kingswood Residents and in a recent survey the residents identified that they felt this page had reduced criminal activity in their area.  This group’s page is a hive of activity from making residents aware of suspicious behaviour in the vicinity, giving out advice on protecting property to even reuniting lost pets with their owners.

The Neighbourhood Network offers support in setting up Facebook pages, along with remaining as an administrator to enable regular posts to the page to encourage interaction.  The charity currently supports many Facebook pages including Gipsyville Neighbourhood Network and Newland Business Watch.

If you feel your area would benefit from a page of this nature, please get in touch.
