Two men who were caught during a search by officers and police dog PD Kodi in the early hours of yesterday have been charged in relation to the theft of a car.
Deividas Bakirovas, 20, of Shannon Road in Hull has been charged with driving a stolen car and driving without insurance.
Thomas Wharton, 19, of Fewson Garth in Hedon has been charged with being in a car that he knew was stolen.
The pair were arrested near to St Andrews Quay in Hull during the search which involved Humberside Police officers, the NPAS police helicopter and PD Kodi.
The search was made after reports that a car had been stolen on York Road in the city just before midnight on Tuesday 15 January.
A 22-year-old man arrested in connection with this incident has been released with no further action taken.
The charged men are due to appear before Hull Magistrates Court in February.
