Hull: YMCA Humber Sleep Easy

YMCA Humber’s Sleep Easy event will see participants make their own shelters to sleep out in for one night, with the intention of raising awareness of homelessness issues and funds to help YMCA Humber and Hull – based charities to continue to support residents and young people.

YMCA Humber are inviting organisation with a similar client group to join them on the night and raise money to support their own services. Humbercare, Child Dynamix, The Salvation Army and The Crossings are already signed up.

YMCA Humber has hosted Sleep Easy nights since 2010 and has raised £150,000 in that time. This money has helped support the vital work of local charities working with homeless people in the region.

It is hoped this year’s event will help to raise even more funds as the numbers of rough sleepers of all ages continues to rise and pressures mount on the housing market.
