Goodwin Development Trust is a successful community business that seeks to improve people’s quality of life through developing and delivering community services.
They are now looking to recruit a professional, experienced & confident individual into the following post within the Youth Team:
Youth Project Leader (YPL01)
Contracted 20hpw with potential additional hours
Fixed term till 31st March 2020,
Possible extension subject to funding.
£12.00 per hour
To manage a commissioned youth delivery contract funded through Hull City Council. The post holder will lead a dynamic Goodwin youth project team taking a day to day operational leadership role to ensure the requirements of the contract are met through a flexible youth offer both at the Octagon Family Centre and through detached youth work and partnership working with West Locality services.
The role will include coordination and delivery of provision for young people within Goodwin’s – Training, Skills and Opportunities Team. This includes Youth Employment Initiatives, Youth Arts Takeover and Youth Music. The role also includes working with other agencies and organisations including local primary and secondary schools.
The main responsibilities of this role includes but is not limited to:
• Manage and monitor the Youth contract for Hull City Council and report contract delivery to Head of Children, Families and Wellbeing services.
• Take the lead on 1 to 1 Youth Work and required “MECC” and “My Star” requirements.
• Line manage staff, volunteers and students delivering the youth provision.
• Manage the staff timetable so that staffing remains within budget and meets the contract requirements.
• Work with internal and external partners including Hull City Council and other commissioned youth partners across the locality and citywide provision
• Ensure that children, young people and vulnerable adults are safeguarded and that policies and procedures are met.
