A high risk missing teenager who police had been looking for to make sure he was safe was found by Op Galaxy officers in Hull.
It’s just another example of the results that the Op Galaxy task force are getting as part of their proactive work across the whole force area.
They’ve brought together the major crime unit, roads policing, dog section, detectives, intelligence unit and economic crime as well as other departments so they can proactively target criminals who are causing the most harm in our communities.
They’re also able to protect some of the most vulnerable people and give them the help they might need.
Tuesday 29 October’s results are in:
- A warrant was executed under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in Hornsea.
- As a result of the warrant a man was arrested on suspicion of importing class A drugs after handing himself in at Beverley police station. It follows a number of arrest attempts for him. Police are currently investigating possible links to organised crime.
- Arrest attempts were made for a man in connection with attempted rape, ABH, and criminal damage in Hull. Additional intelligence was collected by officers that could help lead authorities to him.
- There was an arrest attempt for a priority offender in Hull wanted in connection with multiple offences. It followed information gathered by neighbourhood officers. Two properties were searched while looking for him, with the consent of the people living there.
- Arrest attempts were made in Hull city centre for a known teenage offender.
- High risk missing teenager was found safe in Hull.
