12th November 2019Hull: Firearms, weapons and drugs charges in Hull
Charges have been brought against three men for various offences following work by the Proactive Team in Hull.
On Friday 8 November officers arrested six individuals in total:
– Jordan Horton Smith, 28, of Ripley Close was found at a property on Ripley Close and arrested. He was charged with robbery and having a blade, namely a kitchen knife, in a public place. The charges were in connection with an incident at a shop on Greenwood Avenue, Hull on Sunday 4 August.
– A section 18 search was conducted at a property on 12th Avenue. Wayne McHale, 34, of 12th Avenue was arrested and subsequently charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, namely a shotgun, and possession of a class A drug with intent to supply. A tub of what’s thought to be heroin was seized. The drugs are thought to be worth in the region of £15,000.
– A suspect was spotted in his vehicle on Vane Street, stopped and arrested. Officers spotted a blue mug containing over two dozen wraps of what was thought to be crack cocaine and heroin. It was seized as well as £75 in cash and a mobile phone. Stephen Worrall, 39, from Oakington Garth was charged with two counts of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply, and possessing criminal property namely cash.
– A property was visited on Alliance Avenue and a man wanted on prison recall was arrested and taken back to jail.
– A 43-year-old man was arrested on Carr Lane on suspicion of possessing a firearm, threats to kill, and possessing a class A drug with intent to supply. He’s been bailed to appear at a police station at a later date.
– A man was seen on Leonard Street walking towards the city centre. He was stop searched and found to have spice, cash and a mobile phone on him. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing a class B drug, namely spice, and bailed to appear at a police station next month.
