Hull: Speedy arrest following burglary

A man is in police custody following reports of a burglary at a business on Newland Avenue, Hull in the early hours of Monday 17 February.

Authorities were called shortly before 2.30am with a report of a man behaving suspiciously on Edgecumbe Street. A few minutes later they received a second call reporting a break in at a shop on Newland Avenue.

Officers quickly attended and the man was arrested on suspicion of burglary, all within six minutes of the initial call.

He remains in police custody at this time whilst enquiries continue.
