Amazon Phone Scam

Neighbourhood Network have this week been made aware of a Hull resident that was contacted by telephone from scammer claiming to be from Amazon.

The elderly resident was asked to pay £700 over the line. Luckily this resident was aware of such scams and promptly put the telephone down, ending the call. She then made a note of the telephone number and reported appropriately.
