Police Diversity and inclusion event

Humberside Police are hosting an event next Friday 4th September from 09:30am to approx. 2:30pm (lunch is provided) at Lazaat Cottingham – to seek the views of people who could speak on behalf of, or are members of the communities which fall under one or more of the nine protected characteristics covered by the Equality Act 2010.

These are:

• Age
• Civil Partnership & Marriage
• Disability
• Gender Reassignment
• Pregnancy & Maternity
• Race or Ethnicity
• Religion or Belief
• Sex
• Sexual Orientation

There will be members of the Police Independent Advisory Group invited along, but the Police are keen to hear the experiences of people who may not usually have a voice at police meetings.

If you have contacts or members of your networks who may be interested in speaking up about the barriers to engaging or the positive experiences they have had with police this is an excellent opportunity.
