*** SCAM ALERT – DVLA PHOTOCARD LICENCE EXTENSION ***
The latest scam e-mail purporting to be from the DVLA is asking drivers to update their out-of-date information. On 20th June the DVLA announced a 7 month extension if your photocard licence was due to expire between 1 February and 31 August 2020 and scammers are looking to take advantage of this in order to obtain your personal information.
If you are looking for information or using DVLA online services, double check that you are using a http://GOV.UK/ webpage so that you can be sure that you’re dealing directly with DVLA. Access the http://GOV.UK/ website directly using your own browser and not by clicking on any links within an e-mail which may take you to a copycat website.
