Project Administrator with Giroscope
Giroscope is looking for an enthusiastic, professional and diligent person to administer and monitor Giroscope’s ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) project. The project is based around the renovation of the former St Matthews church on Boulevard in Hull. The building will be developed into an enterprise hub with business support being provided to new and existing enterprises.
Approximately 16 – 24 hours/week (TBN) based on a pro rata salary of circa £20K pa

Young Peoples Caseworker with Giroscope
Secure Futures is a project based in Hull, which works with 16 – 25 year olds who are either homeless, or face the risk of homelessness. It works with young people, using sports as a tool for personal development and change, and also provides housing, support and training. The project is a partnership project between Giroscope and Vulcan Learning Centre.
They are looking for a motivated individual committed to working with young people; who will often have complex and challenging backgrounds. They are looking for someone with a passion for youth work, who can inspire young people to overcome their barriers, empowering them to engage with sports and helping them into safe, secure housing, employment and training. You will have the support of colleagues who will share your skill, enthusiasm and motivation. Your work may be challenging, but always diverse and rewarding.
If you are professional, dedicated and passionate about social change, with a desire to support young people and to develop your skills, we would like to hear from you. Giroscope would especially like to hear from you if you have relevant qualifications or experience working in a similar role. They would welcome applications from people who have solid experience as a practitioner in a statutory or third sector role, and would encourage applications from people dedicated to their work and having a willingness to share their professionalism, judgement and experience.
37.5 hours/week
Salary £20k – £25K per annum (depending on qualifications/experience/skills)
Based at Giroscope/Vulcan Learning Centre & Boxing Club
Post will remain open until filled
This post is for a 3 year fixed contract. (May be extended)
