20th October 2020Hull: Fatal collision on Anlaby Road

A 10-year-old boy has sadly died following a collision on Anlaby Road in Hull yesterday evening, Monday 19 October.
The collision happened shortly after 6pm when a blue BMW collided with two boys riding a bike on the flyover, near to the junction with Selby Street.
Emergency services attended and the boys were taken to hospital for treatment to life threatening injuries.
One of the boys sadly died a short time later. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The other boy remains in hospital in a critical condition.
A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences in connection with the collision, he remains in police custody whilst enquiries continue.
Officers from the serious collisions unit are appealing for anyone that witnessed the collision, who has not already spoken to authorities, to please get in touch. They are also keen to hear from anyone that saw either vehicle prior to the collision or anyone with dashcam footage from driving in the area at the time.
