Trustee Vacancies With Men In Sheds

Are you interested in supporting a crucial local charity to grow and prosper?

Men in Sheds Hull was established in 2014 to support socially isolated individuals, predominately men to get together and undertake practical activities. The majority of the members are retired and over the age of 65. The Shed provides the tools and resources the men need to work on projects of their choosing, at their own pace, in a safe and inclusive environment. The charity also organises social events such as trips to museums, factories and days out. Talks on health and well-being are held at the Shed for members to attend, as well as external health events at other organisations.

Overall, Men in Sheds Hull gives a vulnerable demographic an opportunity to socialise, make friends and exchange skills all while improving their health and well-being in a unique space within their community.

Their vision is to provide a safe, inclusive and supportive space where members can meet, have fun, engage in projects and take part in activities ensuring that Men in Sheds Hull develops into a valuable facility supported by a thriving and active membership.

They have a number of vacancies for new trustees and are looking for individuals with skills in any of the following areas that can help develop the charity further:-

• Governance
• HR
• Fundraising
• Finance
• Health & Wellbeing

The board of trustees meets on a monthly basis for approximately 2 hours outside of normal office hours.
