Hull: Man sentenced after being charged for false pretend

A 19-year-old man appeared in court on Friday 14th May 2021 after being charged with theft, criminal damage and gathering charitable donations by false pretend.

These incidents occurred around the Ings and Marfleet area of Hull, between the dates of Saturday 24th April and Monday 10th May.

The Hull man has since been sentenced to 10 weeks at a Young Offenders Institute and was given a two year criminal behaviour order with the conditions that he ‘must not sit on the floor outside any retail store in Hull’ and ‘must not approach any unknown persons and ask them for money anywhere in Hull.’
