June 2021 – Let’s celebrate the month of community!

Did you know that June is the month of community? This is an idea developed by Eden Project Communities with the aim of celebrating the community connections and giving opportunities to get to know each other better.

There are so many celebrations taking place during June why not get involved with your community group?

• Volunteers Week 1-7 June – Say a big thank you to the nation’s volunteers 
• Wales Nature Week 29 May -6 June – Appreciate nature and the greenspace around you
•  The Big Lunch 5-6 June – Eat, have fun and connect with your communities
•  Neighbourhood Watch Week 5-11 June – Get to know our neighbours
• Carers Week 7-13 June – Celebrate all carers and the dedication they provide
•  Loneliness Awareness Week 14-18 June – Get to know how you can relieve this
•  Refugee Week 14-20 June – Make sure everyone feels welcome
• Small Charity Week 14-19 June – Raise money for local charities
• The Great Get Together 18-20 June – Show that you are a united community
• Thank You Day 4 July – Or simply say thank you
