16th July 2021The Walk of Art Hull event

Walk of Art HU5 has been going for four years in The Avenues area of Kingston Upon Hull. It was the 24th September 2017, Hull City of Culture when the first local artists of HU5 got together to display and sell their work.
The idea comes, tried and tested, from an area of Leeds. Local artists/ craftspeople will display their work for sale, either on their own premises if they are resident, or in a host garden, for one day.
The Walk of Art is the brain child of Jacky Ward Lomax. The idea came from an event running in Leeds.
Using residents homes, gardens and garages as galleries, we exhibit work by local artists and creators in various media (from paint, print and illustration, to sculpture, ceramics and all in between).
It is set in the leafy Avenues Area of Kingston upon Hull.
We have had over 30 local people from across HU5, show case and sell their art work each year and it is gaining momentum.
It has been described as ‘a wonderful creative walking tour, offering a unique collection of art’.
