14th January 2022Hull: Officers’ actions save woman’s life, Dee Street

Two patrol officers helped to save a woman’s life on Wednesday 5 January, after she collapsed in a Hull street.
Services were called at around 8:00pm with reports that a woman had been taken ill on Dee Street.
Officers attended and found that the woman was being cared for by a passing trainee paramedic, however it soon became apparent that she was in a critical condition and urgent medical action was required.
Whilst waiting for the ambulance, police patrol officers and the member of the public worked together to carry out lifesaving medical treatment.
Upon arrival of the ambulance, it was established that the work carried out by the team had likely saved the woman’s life and she was taken to hospital to receive ongoing treatment where she remains in a stable condition.
