Forum offers a range of support, advice and guidance to people who run community groups, charities and social businesses. This includes helping people who want to set up new organisations, and working with the volunteers, staff, managers and trustees of existing ones. The people we work with might need anything from a quick phone call to talk through a challenge, to more detailed guidance to develop their organisation and make it more sustainable.
Forum are now working in collaboration with Hull CVS to form a partnership team to deliver a package of services to these organisations that will aid their start up, effectiveness and longer term sustainability.
We are now looking for a part-time Safeguarding Support Co-ordinator to work as part of this wider team. The purpose of this post is to provide specialist safeguarding support and training to the voluntary sector in Hull, including grassroots groups, faith groups, those working with children, families and older people, and disabilities and equalities organisations. Having a background in the charity/not for profit sector, or an understanding of the sector, is helpful but not essential.
