Hull: Motorbike task force continue to take action

Update from Humberside Police:

Officers from our motorbike taskforce as a part of the Hull Community Safety Partnership have been extremely busy since taking to the streets last year.

Dedicated to tackling the illegal use of motorbikes, the team have continued to proactively stop motorcyclist and deal with those who either ride in anti-social manner or are believed to be riding a stolen motorcycle.

This week, the #OpYellowfin officers have successfully confiscated a total of 3 motorcycles, 3 bikes and 2 quadbikes from the streets following some proactive work on Boothferry Estate, Hull.

Police Constable Adam Barley from the taskforce said: “As summer approaches we will be focusing on hot-spot areas which have been highlighted as real concern with residents in these areas.

“Taking the feedback seriously working with Hull Community Safety partnership, we are committed to tackling the issue. Since launching, we have continued to engage with lots of people in the community who have been really pleased with the results.

“As well as disrupting those attempting to cause harm to our local communities, alongside the local authority, we have taken the opportunity to build and develop existing relationships with businesses and residents which will help support them to find and develop solutions to continue to tackle crimes affecting them.
