If so there is an exciting opportunity for someone to take on the leadership of the Healthwatch Hull team.
About Healthwatch
Healthwatch was established as a statutory service independent from the NHS and social care services, but with the purpose of being the consumer champion for local health and social care provision. Healthwatch has a wide remit and has a number of legal powers to help ensure that patient and public voice is at the heart of how health and care services are designed and delivered. Each Local Authority area in England has its own Healthwatch service, and Hull CVS holds the contract for Healthwatch Hull, as well as all other Healthwatch in the Humber region.
The role
The role of the Healthwatch Manager is to lead and drive forward the development and delivery of Healthwatch Kingston Upon Hull. The post holder will work closely with colleagues and partners and ensure the successful delivery of the annual workplan, as well as having responsibility for designing and leading on projects, and forming collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders. The post holder will also be responsible for all elements of line management, ensuring the wider Healthwatch Kingston Upon Hull team are supported and motivated.
The post holder will need to have a good understanding of the local health and social care arena, and also possess excellent project and person management abilities and report writing skills.
Package
The post has a starting salary of £29,000, rising with experience, with a wide range of access to training and personal development opportunities.
This is a full time position, but is based on a 35 hour working week and so offers a good work life balance. We also provide 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you receive another 3 days to be taken over Christmas after one year of service. A company health plan is also provided following successful completion of probation, and for those who have young children, we offer discounted places in our nursery settings (subject to availability).
The post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
