HCC have a fantastic opportunity for an Environmental Improvement Officer in the Waste Management team. Responsible for the delivery of the Love Your Street Project and initiatives to support the Council’s sustainable waste management strategy, which aims to minimise waste, maximise reuse, recycling and composting and reduce the amount of waste sent for disposal.
The post is varied; the successful applicant will:
Work in partnership with local stakeholders to deliver on project priorities and aspirations, making a real difference to the lives of people in local communities.
Carry out problem solving work related to service delivery of the waste team assessing street cleanliness standards, waste contamination of recycling bins and waste presentation.
Attend events, delivering environmental education to community groups and schools including litter picks and community clear ups.
These posts are Fixed Term until December 2024 due to external funding and there are 3 posts available:
2 Full Time 37 hours
1 Part Time 18.5 hours
