New Community Cohesion Officer for Humberside Police

A new Community Cohesion Officer has been announced for the Humberside Police.

But what does this actually mean and what do they do?

As a Community Cohesion Officer, they will support seldom heard communities and develop relationships with key Individuals within the community. They’ll also monitor hate crimes committed within the Hull area and assist their colleagues from local neighbourhood teams in supporting victims of hate crime, especially those that are repeat victims by offering advice and signposting to support agencies. 

Another key part of their role is to facilitate the Hull Independent Advisory Group (IAG) as well as assisting with the other forcewide IAGS. For more information on these groups please click the following link: Independent Advisory Groups | Humberside Police
