21st March 2025BBC Children in Need’s ‘Pudsey Next Steps’ Spring Round Deadline 15 April

This funding programme offers grants of between £1,000 and £15,000 per year for up to three years to not-for-profit organisations with an annual income of less than £100,000 who are new applicants to the BBC Children in Need grants programme. The grants can cover core or project costs.
This second round aims to reach under-served and marginalised children and young people (aged 0 to 18 years) who may be affected by challenges including poverty, discrimination, and exclusion.
Applications will be considered from organisations who can meet the local priorities for the Spring 2025 round:
- Scotland – organisations working with racially minoritised children and young people, particularly those working with children and young people from Asian communities.
- Northern Ireland – organisations working with racially minoritised children and young people outside of the Belfast area.
- Wales – organisations working with children and young people affected by challenges and barriers connected to discrimination, stigma, and exclusion situated in Blaenau Gwent, Merthyr Tydfil and Powys, and/or organisations working with racially minoritised children and young people outside of the Cardiff area.
- North of England – organisations working with children and young people from Asian communities in Rochdale, Lancashire, Sheffield, Newcastle and Middlesborough, particularly those working with children and young people from Bangladeshi and Pakistani communities.
- Central England – organisations working with Early Years children in Birmingham and Leicester.
- London – organisations situated in Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, or Merton and/or Care experienced children and young people, and/or Children and families living in unstable, unsuitable or temporary accommodation.
- South West England – organisations working with racially minoritised children and young people, particularly those working with children and young people from Asian communities.
- South East England – organisations working with marginalised children and young people in Dover, Folkestone & Hythe, Gravesham, Hastings, Isle of Wight, Milton Keynes, Southampton and Thanet, and/or organisations reaching racially minoritised children in any part of the South East England region.
How To Apply
BBC Children in Need has announced that it will be ‘unable to accept new Expressions of Interest after 15 April 2025 until mid September 2025’ as it is moving to a new grant making system during this time.
