16th September 2025Three men arrested following reported rape in Hull

Three men have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into a reported rape on West Park in Hull in the early hours of Tuesday, 9 September 2025.
At around 5.20am, police received a call from a member of the public who reported that they could hear a woman in distress on West Park.
Thirty seconds later a further call was received reporting that a woman had been raped by three men on West Park, before they allegedly fled the scene in a silver Volkswagen Golf.
Leading the investigation, Detective Inspector Adrian Adamson said: “Over the course of the last three days, we’ve been carrying out extensive lines of enquiry, including reviewing CCTV footage in and around the area to identify the vehicle concerned.
“Following those enquiries, I can confirm two 26-year-old men, and a 27-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of rape. All three men remain in police custody whilst officers continue with lines of enquiries.
“A 43-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of rape and has since been released without charge.
“A scene guard was put in place to allow our Crime Scene Investigation team to work efficiently, I can confirm this has since been removed.
“I know this incident will be extremely concerning for the local community; however, I hope the news of these arrests reassures the public that we have been and continue to treat this investigation as a priority.
