Digital Assistant volunteer opportunity.

As a Digital Assistant you will help address digital exclusion by providing assisted digital support to clients to use services and carry out transactions online by:
• Enabling clients to gain skills and confidence they need to use digital technology effectively

• Supporting clients with using self-help services including PCs

• Helping clients to identify the correct leaflet, self-help resource or service provider

• Identifying when clients need to be referred for more help and sign posting them appropriately following agreed protocols

• Helping clients to access digital resources including council services and government services

You do not need any specific qualifications but would need (after a period of initial training) to:
• Be competent in using IT

• Be polite when talking to people

• Have an understanding of and commitment to confidentiality

• Be friendly and approachable
