29th June 2018Hull: Neighbourhood Watch Development Seminar
This week Neighbourhood Network attended a very exciting and informative Seminar hosted by CEO John Hayward-Cripps and the team from the National Neighbourhood Watch Network.
This was a great opportunity to be updated on the National Neighbourhood Watch’s vision for the future and for them to gain valuable knowledge from all members, co-ordinators and partners.
There is now a fantastic new Toolkit on their website displaying up to date information on areas such as:
- Domestic Abuse – which as we know affects all communities
- Serious Violence – particularly knife crime
- Vulnerability and loneliness – affecting more people as families become more mobile
- Fraud and scams (particularly older people) – electronic and traditional
- Terrorism – How to spot the signs
- Child Sexual Exploitation – a hidden crime
- Modern slavery – Many kinds of ways this is undertaken
