Hull: A Life Less Lonely Fund

This Fund is designed to help voluntary organisations, community groups and small charities that operate in York, North Yorkshire, Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire.  The fund provides  grants of up to £5,000 for charitable activities that make older people feel less lonely. Priority will be given to projects that can demonstrate that they will make a lasting difference to older people’s lives.

Organisations can apply for capital costs of up to 25% of the total amount applied for.

Projects must run for a minimum period of 9 months to establish sustained engagement by participants. A priority for the funding is the quality of relationships and social connections built and enabling people to feel less lonely.

Applications to this fund are assessed on an on-going basis and the next deadline for applications to be considered is 13 August
