Do you feel passionate about helping to reduce the number of children being removed into care and bring about change in women’s lives? Do you have direct experience of co-ordinating the work of a team who help affect change in vulnerable individuals? Are you a highly organised, flexible and resilient person? Would you like the opportunity to do things differently and help take our Pause practice to the next level?
Pause is an innovative, dynamic and creative rolling programme designed to address the needs of women who have had multiple children removed from their care. It offers an intense programme of therapeutic, practical and behavioural support through an integrated model.
The 18 month intensive programme gives women the chance to ‘pause’ from pregnancy, take more control over their lives and help break the destructive cycle that causes both them and their children deep trauma. Pause also helps reduce the huge costs this makes to the wider society.
The Council are looking for a great person to effectively co-ordinate and contribute to the smooth running of our service.
As a Pause co-ordinator you will bring significant experience and skills to support the practitioners and practice lead, and sometimes the Pause women.
In your role you will also provide comprehensive and confidential assistance and administrative support to the Pause team to assist it to perform their duties effectively and efficiently. You will also act as a key liaison point to the National Pause Office
You’ll be a big part of a small team, where everyone takes a flexible and collaborative approach to work and is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable and marginalised groups.
There will be a range of support available to you within the team. This includes dedicated time to reflect and access to individual supervision. Personal learning and growth is also encouraged and supported in the team.
You should be educated to GCSE standard English and Maths or Literacy & Numeracy Award equivalent; be proficient and efficient in IT skills, particularly Excel and familiar with working across a range of different systems.
